Wayne
Rooney will miss two months because of a knee injury. This has been confirmed
directly by manager Louis van Gaal.
Wednesday
(17/02/2016), the Manchester United had stated that Rooney is not on the list
of players who will be dispatched to Denmark to face Midtjylland in the last 32
of the Europe League.

Red Devils did not notify the reason the absence of Rooney in the team.
However, Van Gaal confirmed that the captain suffered a knee injury.

Gaal told to MUTV that they had 13 players injured and Rooney is one of them.
Rooney has a knee problem, so he and his team can only wait and see (how long
Rooney absent). Rooney is an important player, but the Red Devils should be
able to overcome (dependence) it.
As
quoted from BBC, Rooney will be sidelined for six weeks. However, The Guardian
reported that the captain of the Red Devils will be able to fully return to the
team within two months.
Facing
Midtjylland, Van Gaal also cannot play Matteo Darmian. He is likely to be
replaced 21-year-old defender, Donald Love, who opt debut against Sunderland.
A
number of young players, Will Keane (23), Regan Poole (17), Joe Riley (19), and
James Weir (21), also included Van Gaal to Denmark.
