In the next
season, MU will return to take part in the Champions League, after finishing
the league season in fourth in the Premier League standings. According to
Giggs, it is also one of the reasons MU must recruit star players.
Giggs said that
the MU management obviously needs to strengthen the squad, because they are in
fourth. They were not in the first, second, or third in the Premier League
standings. Next season, there will be an additional challenge in the Champions
League, and the MU management needs players who can improve their performance.
Giggs also revealed
that, however, their performance was not bad. They had a good record in big
matches last season, and their main problem is consistency. They lost a lot of
points, and Manchester United FC started the season badly. They also got the
draw result on a lot of away games, when they should be able to beat the
opposing teams.
